I want to race my bike in 80GP and actually be able to compete, from what I know they get about 30 hp out of a CR80 motor. Has anyone got an 80cc displacement on the rs?? Mototek got 75 mph on that production bike with $10,000 im sure I can get 30 hp with reasonably less money out of an 80cc

No, the largest displacement top ends we have found are just over 75cc.

75mph is achievable out of a 50cc bike. My race bike with proper gearing will easily hit that speed.

You want to go up against 80GP bikes?
Just go ahead and bite the bullet. Buy an 80cc motor (YZ,RM.CR, whatever) and spend the time and money to bolt it into the Aprilia frame.

But now will it slow down fast?
I have ridden one of the RS/CR80's and was surprised not only about how fast it will accelerate, but also how fast it will slow down. So now you spend time and money to put different brakes on the Aprilia chassis. OK, now you can slow down just as fast as the RS/CR.

How about handling?
The Aprilia has shitty suspension compared to the RS125 Honda (or the TZR125 Yamaha). OK, just go get a front end, swing arm and wheels for a RS or TZR and bolt them up to your Aprilia frame. What, they don't fit right up? Spend time and money modifying them to fit.

Alright, now you have a bike that you can run in 80GP.

How much money and time have you spent?
More than what it would cost to buy an RS/CR (or compatible TZR/whatever) in the first place.

Don't try to make a pig whistle, it wastes your time and annoys the pig...

Sandra is right....current engine of choice being the YZ85 motor. With a good pipe you should see 27-30 bhp on a dynojet.

Yeah well screw you guys!! And Sandra you never sent my backing plate!!! (the freeze plug is way better anyway) You guys are probably right I'm a like 200 lbs, even if I had the 30hp I'd still get my ass whooped by all the little people who race these things, well really its just a dream anywase, I might ass well get NOS and fry the @#%$ out of my cylinder...

Dang Jimmy....you are high strung huh? 80cc dirtbike motors are pretty cheap and very easy to mount in the RS50 frame.

Yeah Micah I'm very high strung, I haven't ridden a motorcycle in 6 months, everytime I put my bike back togeather something else breaks, I never got my backing plate from taffspeed, I got a crack in my crankcase, A brand new cylinder, rod, and crankshaft I can't use, A broken Transmission, I've spent over 5,000 on my bike.. Im in Phoenix, AZ, Its 100 Feckin degrees, Im attending MMI (Motorcycle Morons Institute) And I still haven't found a job!!!!!!!!!
