I'm new on the Forum and interested to find out the same about local riders. I live in north Tampa and work in Clearwater. I heard that a number of Aprilia owners get together and go for a group ride every now and then in the Tampa area. Heck, even a little road trip across the state just to meet a few other owners would be fun.

There are owners in Wesley Chapel, me in Bradenton, Jimbo77 in Sarasota, and a huricane survivor in Port Charllote who frequent Aprilia Forum, but we've never hooked up. :confused:

Best bets are to collect email addresses and go from there. Or wait til/encourage Barney's Tampa to put together another Italian Ride.

Hey DeputyDog - or should I refer to you as "Star Man." Not a PCSO man by chance, are you? Anyhow, sounds like a good idea to get a little ride together. Or maybe we can all meet somewhere just to have a few cold ones and get to meet everyone. I'm kind of partial to Guiness so any place that serves a tall pint of the motor oil-looking ale is good for me. There's a place on Clearwater Beach called "Big Ben Pub," or down in St. Pete Beach there's the "Harp and Thistle." Or we can always meet at a tride-and-true Hooters (the views there aren't bad)! Just have to nail down a day/time.

PS-Poor bastards on the Chicago post must be freezing their arses off! Sucks not being able to ride! (Now if any Chi-Townies read this, don't get angry. I'm originally from the area so I can do a little "rubbing it in.)

We are planning on an Aprilia parking area at the showing of the movie Faster at the Tampa theatre Feb. 5th.; would be a good place to meet Bay Area riders.

Don't know if I'll be riding by then ..... broke a bone in my left hand. You should see the other guy ....... he lost a lot of bark! It was a dirt bike vs. tree situitation.

In the meantime, how about a meet before hand...say next Monday Night (Jan. 24)? We can make it a more central location in the Tampa Bay area if others want to meet up.

The MotoGP movie FASTER is coming!!

When: Saturday Feb. 5th - Event starts at 5:30 movie screens at 8PM

Who: Film sponsored by Barney's Motorcycle & Marine (http://www.barneys.net)

Special: This will be a fun event. Franklin street will be closed for Motorcycle only parking corral.

This will be the only Florida screening of FASTER!

All proceeds go to the ongoing operation and restoration of Tampa Theatre.

Unfortunatly I can't make it there for that movie but I would still enjoy the ride over to meet another Aprilia owner. There are so few around here. I must give props though to my mechanic who also owns one and has helped me with many issues. Just a little FYI there is a big Make A Wish Ride this weekend in southern Orlando if anybody is interested. I plan on ridding with some friends but we always welcome other riders.

If you're in Orlando, then you need to go to Clermont or Apopka. Go early though as the roads get thick fast with traffick.

Mcskeeto with this weeks crappy weather I won't be doing much ridding but if next week gets better I would like to get together and check out your factory. Thursday nights are usually the biggest night to ride around Orlando but as the week goes on we can just keep in touch. I am always down for a good ride.

I plan on riding as much as possible this summer. I am already commuting to St. Augustine whenever it is not raining, under 50 degrees, or higher than 800 MPH winds. If anyone is going to be in the area, drop me a line.
