10-11-2004, 02:42 PM

10-11-2004, 02:45 PM
f1 car- they said 900bhp- traction control, launch control started by laptop etc-----loony cart. we'll see through go fireblade :-)

10-11-2004, 02:48 PM
the car dosn't have traction control any more, it all about keeping the blade's front and down and holding on, if i had money it would be on the bike

10-11-2004, 02:49 PM
bet car will win thats why they are keepin us waiting so they finish prog on a high. and it is a car prog so they want the car to win

10-11-2004, 02:52 PM

10-11-2004, 02:58 PM

10-11-2004, 03:06 PM
I went mad when it came on, a BSB bike VS an F1 car why not have 2 of the best instead of 1 of the best, u could go 2 ur Honda dealer and pick up a Blade and do some engines mods and thats it, of course it had panels, wheels, forks, shock etc dont but wouldnt effect it in a 1/4 mile. Wont mind that F1 car, had it off the limter at 18k :D!!.

10-11-2004, 03:18 PM
It really should have been the RCV against it. Putting the CBR against it would be like putting the RCV against a done up Honda production car like a Civic or an NSX or summet. Stupid really.

10-11-2004, 03:23 PM
wouldn't go that far but it was a drag race with a car with a power to weight ratio that is massive.

10-11-2004, 03:25 PM
i think the f1 cars still use traction control tho

10-11-2004, 03:26 PM
you cant compare a f1 car to superbike. a motogp bike is the only thing which comes close think bout it phoenix the f1 car was always going to win been arguing wit dad bout why it was never fair. these bike vs car challenges never are!!!

10-11-2004, 03:27 PM
plus they used rutter....ffs

10-11-2004, 03:32 PM
oh god yes a 1mil bike against a 4m+ car, 4 wheels 2 wheels areodynamics the list is endless, but the every day tosser at the lights, its us hands down.

10-11-2004, 03:36 PM
1 mil? Reynolds BSB winnin bike cost 100k!

10-11-2004, 03:40 PM
1 mil for the season. tyres fuel engines etc

10-11-2004, 04:35 PM
i was absolutely gutted. i loved the first run, slagging the car off. then for the first 100m of the second run i was thinking to myself "you know those cars aint that fast at all". then it took off and completely annihialated the poor bike. bastads.
bring on the motoGP bike and our man rossi

10-11-2004, 04:48 PM
Even against a MotoGP bike the F1 car would still win.

Big o
10-11-2004, 04:52 PM
why don't ppl undetstand

bang for bike .. get a bike

ULTIMO performance get a car..

sadly most of uss ain't got 200k to millions so we stick with 3-10k bikes :P

10-11-2004, 04:53 PM
i reluctantly agree with dowzerr there. unless you gave the bike some form of downforce, but that would seriously affect the way the way the bike handles, and more than likely youd come off leaning.
remember the happy day when you get your 600 lads, and give a koenisegg a run for its money!

10-11-2004, 05:15 PM
You cant compare an F1 car to a road car though, they are nothing like eachother, a race bike (even MotoGP) has alot more in common with a road bike. And BSB bikes aint that much slower than MotoGP bikes.
Fact is, F1 cars are the fastest things on earth round a racetrack due to downforce, at any circuit they will lap 20secs faster than a GP bike, and whatever they say about traction and launch control being banned its bullshit because the software they use is so complex and secretive that you'd never tell.

10-11-2004, 05:28 PM
only thing similar bout a f1 car to a road car is it has 5 wheels

10-11-2004, 07:27 PM
all this arguin n i missed the fukin show! grrrrrrrrrrrrr

As i said to craig when watching it that test is bullshit.

a pure bred race car against a road bike converted for race use....

if it was the F1 car v's the ducati desmo with its super dooper launch control it would be a diffrent story!

If they wanna make that a far test and still use rutters cbr1000rr then it would have to be against a road car converted for track like a touring car or nascar.
