Rite, whats everyones worst stolen bike stories...mines...is bad:

Had an aprilia Sonic 50 --- didnt have much cash so had to buy something cheap to get me out to the city to work during the holidays --- picked her up for 450, reasonable condition --- first day after gettin my new exhaust system i drive her to sainsburys where i worked at the time, parked it at the back of the car park, didnt put the steering lock on, no alarm, no chain...nout...

Finished work at 11pm, walked outside...and nothing...not a single vehicle in the carpark...dammit! How F****N DUMB WAS THAT!?!? I was 16...and didnt know Dundee could be so bad...though I've learned alot --- security all the way dammit!!

PS: caught the little bastards on it a few days later --- theyd sprayed it red, wrecked my new exhaust, stuck the bike together with selotape and were runnin it along an old stream in the middle of dundee.......here's the good part --- my step dad had one of the little s***s by the neck, though cos he was so young couldnt actually hurt him, while calling the police --- police turn up, with 3 cars, and 2 bikes --- as there were 3 stolen bikes bein played with --- 5 police vehicles...and not one could catch them...lame...totally lame...

PS2: did i meantion the "kids" were only 13 year olds? Sad isnt it?

Anyone else got any stories?

i have 2, the first was a friends,
advertised bike in auto trader, got a phone call guys came to look at it , said they would think about it and get back to him before 12 pm that night,
later that night his mom pop came home from pub and asked , " what ya bike doing in drive?" he said it wasn't and thought they was pulling his leg,
anyway he gets a call 20 mins later saying thanks for the bike, the time is 11 58pm, he says but the nike is in the garage, they say " NO IT AIN'T!"
sure enough he checks and they had lifted the bike over 2 cars to get away with it.

my personal experience was swap a knacked gpz750r for a klr 250, delivered after 5 pm so it wasnt insured, anyway i had a small problem on it drove it night club i worked at to see one of the lads about it , needless to say it was under 18's night.
when i came outside bike had gone, looked around and found it on fire, total burn out.
got some brief descriptions of kids, when lo and be hold 15 mins later 2 14 year olds ride past , i grab em , one even has the cross bar pad off the bike stuffed down his jaket.
police turn up , guess what?
cant do a thing ,,
since then i have always given any scum who looked at my bike in an un nice way a severe beating . it seems to give me more satisfaction.!

When I was 16 I had one of those Aprilia Rally 50cc scooters, never had any problems with it.
Then late on one Friday night driving up the Antrim road with all the crack heads coming out of the pubs and stuff, I got a flat.
Miles from home have too call a taxi and leave the bike.
It was still there next day no problem, so paid £50 for new tyre fitted.

Brought it into town the first day having the new tyre on her and went to the cinema, there’s this place in Belfast where everybody parks their bikes, so left it there.
Came back few hours later, no bike.

I remember thinking maybe I’d parked it somewhere else and forgot, I couldn’t comprehend that somebody had stolen it.
By the time I got to the police station, they had already recovered it, wrecked; completely wrecked, and lone behold, back tyre had been slashed.
Also my mini-disc player and helmet where gone too.

So coughed up the £300 bill to get it all fixed, new panels and new locks at I think £70 a piece.
Next week I parked it in a different place so no little wankers would get their hands on it.
But no, they did, only days after getting fixed, same thing happened.
My old man’s Shoei helmet was in the scooter this time and I never got that back.

Bike was wrote off again, and Never seen the shoei either.

Police said they caught 3 guys on it with no helmets claimed the bike was theirs but when asked for the key’s, did a runner.

Sometimes I think what greasy little @#%$ has his hands on my dad’s shoei and realise that perhaps it was better I didn’t see them do it because It might have been me in trouble with the police and not them.

After re-wiring my RS I can see how easy it is too steal.
Unlike a scooter where you need to cut through the panel too get at the wires; all you need to steal and RS125 is a knife, to cut that little wire coming out of the bottom of the top yoke under the key piece, and you’re in.

Just a shame we need locks, isn’t it?
