i stripped my engine today cos it was makin a really bad knockin noise.i discovered that the mains crank bearings had colapsed.the bike has done 15000 km.i am unsure wether 2 replace the big end bearing in the bottom of the con rod.it seems fine but apperently they tend 2 go around 15000 km.and a big end kit costs 120 quid.so i dunno wether 2 replace it or not.n e 1 had n e experience in this problem.

my m8 just replace his mains bearing, then a few week l8er his big end went.and his bike has only done 400 km.

n e 1s help wud b greatly appreciated.thanx stevo:cool: :smokin:

well if you got it apart get the big end done, i think it cost me around £120 for a crank rebuild, inc. parts and labour.

If the big end goes it'll take the main and piston out!!! well mine did when it went...
