Having my bike de-restricted this saturday, just wondering if my insurance will be void cus it is down at 14bhp ?.
Also i havnt actually took off the fairing to look but i am still unsure if i have a PV or not, when i hit 7,500rpm she throws me back in the seat and flies. sounds to me like i have but not sure if thats normal even without a PV. I have 2003 model SBK rep.
Thanks.

anything that you insurance company thinks but isnt true voids your insurance, did they ask you the power output when you started you insurance?ive never heard of this...

I've got a restricted 2001 rs125 and it does about 85mph ( tucked down ). I don't get a huge power band, nothing to speak of anyway...looking to get it de-restricted though. My insurance company said to just jet them know when it gets de-restricted.

If you have passed your test and you are legally allowed to ride it de-restricted then the
insurance company should not add any money to your premium. when i insured mine i told them
that soon it will be full power (33bhp) and they said thats fine (cuz i have passed my test)
If you havnt passed your test then they might be funny about it because in effect you havnt
got a valid licence!
