you wanna simmer down there yeh license boy ?
someone that lacks the ability to fill in a license application correctly cant lecture me about being small minded.
someone who cant do that shouldnt ride a bike anyway...im sure you could get a real sweet deal on a mountain bike from halfords, they come derestricted, you dont need to fill in any forms (bonus for you eh?) and you can ride it straight away with no fuss! fantastic!

Erm Ed, i agree with Alex, we've seen you on this board for ages, and basically you don't seem to know much, and when people do tell you how to do things you can't do it, not being funny, but how could you really not know how to change a spark plug etc, if you've got one of these you need to have an idea of how to look after it, or a pocket full of money to keep sending it to your local dealer! Get a life, and you can't really call me a twat when your the one who's riding around with no licence, so get a F UCKING LIFE!

L Plate Law
Learners must display L plates, we know that but the full requirement is :-
They must be BS (uk) plates, you can't make your own.
They must be full size; cut down plates aren't legal and yet we've seen even Dealers delivering bikes like that.
They must be front and rear facing, not stuck on the mudguard facing the sky.
It's 2 points on your licence for the front, another 2 points for the rear and how easy to spot ?

What law says you need to know how to work on bikes to own one?
All the people taking the piss out of Ed because of his questions, were you all born knowing how to rebuild bikes?
Probably not, you were show by other people or learnt. Maybe he hasn't got anybody to show him.
Maybe you should all stop taking the piss out of people who dont know how to do things. Questions that might seem stupid to you could seem hard to somebody who's just bought a bike & doesn't know how to fix it.
How do you expect them to learn if they aint told how to do it?
i thought I was legal but my diy small size l plates front and rear aren't then. front ones stuck on the mudgaurd as well. come on who wants to spoil the looks huh?

I used to have a scoot.
And after a night out at a club I took a mate out on the back with no l-plates.
Cops pulled me over.
And done me for no l-plates and having some1 on the back.
It was like 3 on a sunday morning so he asked us if w ehad been drinking.
I was compleatly baked, but the thought of what would happen to me if i got done for drinking too sobered me up pretty fast.
Actually came up with a really good excuse on the spot and must've givin him the right impression cuz he didn't breathelize me .
Still, went to court and got 3 points and a hefty fine for the othe rtwo offences, and if i get any more points i think i loose the licence.
SO my l=plates are BOLTED on. (well rear anyway)
Infact, its quite ironic, becasue after a 75mph roll down the road, the l-plate was the only thing left reasonabley good condition.

what i used to do on my rs 50 is i bought a rear L plate made it dirty and then snapped the top off. I conected the top of the plate to the bottom of my bike so it was hidden and then put the other half under my seat. this way if any gavvas pulled me i would just tell them that a car nocked it off and i would show them the other half. LOL very gunning :rollin: :rollin:

Some time back i posted that my little bro' got pulled with no plates etc - went to court this week.
12 month ban, when he gets his license back he's got 5 point on it and (get this) £320 fine. The didnt do him for not telling his insurance about the race pipe but it has gone down on his record - meaning get pulled with one on in the future and get another ban.
So he has just bough himself a peugeot today - alloy frame, alloy wheels, 28 speed push bike

not pulling our legs. its only an L plate 320quid fine and court, frustrated police, he really pissed them off some how, fachist traffic warden with hairy legs and a skirt to show them off, or ur bullshitting, let me know. i mite get some L plates at this rate. i herd bout peeps coming out of a 120mph which is instant ban and harris can they just got let off, but also herd bout sumone being stopped doin 32 mph in a 30 zone frustrated police again

He wishes it was a traffic warden with hairy legs - he had the old 'your license is a privilidge not a right', 'you broke the law knowingly on more than one account' thing - 320 smackers, dont forget it wasnt just for L's he got done for other stuff (previous post)
No L plates? oh right
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My little brother got stopped march 14th - he iis being done for
45 in a 40
no L plate front
no L plate rear
black visor
illegal exhaust
small plate
and cos hes only just got a license he was still on this probation thing - 6 points and wham yer banned, get a ban and watch the fine go up. He didnt get points for the black visor - apparantly they cant give you points for that - he got a fine, and for the small plate he got fined too but no points. he got points for the speeding and L's and fined. They warned him about the exhaust but didnt do any more than put it on his record. from what he has said he still would have got screwed if he had plates on cos he was speeding, the plates meant more points thats all. But if had em on he might have got away with the ban..............:(
