Knackered Speedo

My speedo has packed in (it's not the cable). Is this a common fault, has any one seen this before?

I was told speedo drive failure is a common RS125 fault.
Mine failed recently, the symptoms were the speedo would be waving up & down all over the place until it finally stopped working altogether.
If you unplug the cable at the wheel spin it with an electric scredriver or a drill to check if your speedo is working correctly.

My speedo packed up when I had my RS the cable just snapped, I think it was around £15 for a new one from a dealer and they are really simple to replace.

its the spedo drive m8 i have the same prob as you the drive is £35 @ aprilia dealer and bout 10-20 mins 2 replace
