Chains

Can someone please explain bike chains to me (specifically RS250 ones). I posted here as I didn't know if it would matter if it was different for Australia and overseas.

Basically I've own this bike for 3 months and it's my first one. I heard from somewhere you can get different types of chains - like ones that last longer or others that wear quicker.

Do the heavier duty ones come at a cost? (e.g. price or hp) Are the quicker wearing ones lighter? cheaper?

Yup the heavier duty chains are more expensive. From my experience. But for most stock bikes ( you did say 250?) the standard chain should be alright.( of course if you being a hoon that will impact the wear on the chain )
The chain's will not be different between Australia/USA/UK
I have bought chains in UK and Aus and no diff.
