Who the fuck steals a Futura?

Hey! Easy!!

Seriously though, that's gonna be hard to move.

What's the normal M.O. for a stolen bike? Parts?

Don't take it the wrong way, I love Futuras. But it's got to be hard to move. It's no CBR or R6. Gives me hope for the owner that the thief is just an idiot who doesn't know what he's doing and the bike will be recovered after a joyride.

Seems like such a niche bike would be tough to move even parted out.

You could move the parts easy enough, but damn. Those are niche parts anymore....

good luck to the owner and may the fleas, ticks, and MERS of a thousand camels descend upon the thief.

Gah. Can't find the title since all the records were moved when the basement flooded with the rains - I hope it isn't lost!!! Gainesville PD said they saw it riding around town earlier in the week as well <sigh>

You can get a title almost immediately. Go to your county tax assessor's office.

I've got a story coming up, not yet but soon. The cops will help but you must be the lead detective and threaten citizens arrest to get serious attention and action from law enforcement. Suffice it to say, that now for the second time stealing from AF1 is a bad fucking plan if you wish to live out your days as a scumbag in freedom.

This device made local news this week, im thinking it's worth it for those serious about protecting their assets.

Nice little deal there. One of our banks requires a GPS unit on bikes they lend on.
We offer theft protection from a theft company. For a one time fee of $600, protects your bike for 5 years, if it's stolen and not recovered wthin 30 days, they give you $5k (sportbike, $2.5k cruiser) towards a purchase of a new/used bike form our d/ship.

I'm near Tyler. Aprilias, especially Futuras, are rare here. I'll keep an eye our for a bagless, red model.

It's a sad day when you, the ripped off citizen, have to be your own detective.
But, that's reality. Hope the bike is found unharmed.
