OK, it worked- this is a chart of lap times from a German motorcycle magazine detailing the Masterbike shootout in which the best cycle mag riders flog the new 04 bikes and see what gives the best lap times in Catalunya.
I found it very interesting- it rated the Gix750 on top, then the ZX-10, then the ZX-6r(636) they go from 3rd to 1st in the finale block at the bottom.
Check it out. I found it fascinating. It has riders of different lap time abilities and what they did on the different bikes.

Whoever the Holland guy was, he was flying!
And I am sorry on the final order- it was:
1st- ZX-10r
2nd- Gix750
3rd- Zx-6r(636)
All were on Dunlop 208GP's
This was provided by a German guy I race with who is an Aprilia enthusiast.

I Know, I know- I am just adding to my own post
One thing about the twins- the RSV beats the Ducati 999 in most riders hands. The Duc749s gives the 999s a run for its money. So what gives? Something about the way the 999 makes power must be the hangup, because arent the 749 and the 999 the same frame and setup?

I rode a 749 one evening. Very impressive motor. I would love to try it on the track. Very linear & less intimidating power delivery compared to the 999 I rode, and the Mille. The 999 is very linear too, just lot's more mojo to be careful about. I wish Aprilia would make a 750 for us old guys who don't race but like to go fast.

very impressive times from the gixxer 750. I am considering buying one. this adds more fuel to the fire.
