View Full Version : 2003 / 2004 Restricted Exhaust Wanted
06-04-2004, 12:40 PM
For my project RS50 (buy, rebuild and sell project) i bought a s/h top end and crank, both with less than 500km's on because the bike was bought for mopedmayhem use after being wrote off.
Now i have a 1999 - 2002 FULL SIZE exhaust but for the new kit i need a 2003 - 2004 restricted exhaust.
SO does anyone have one they dont need?
Also if anyone wants to do a big bore kit, but doesnt want to spend the extra on a pipe too, i could swap you my pipe, excelent conditin no rust pipe for your restricted one.
Just wondering, i may also have a sleeve down set coming so i can swing either way.
If anyone has any info drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org

Craig I am realy interested in buying a racing exhaust. Could you send me a price list or give me some recomendations. I want to spend about £150 but will do higher if it's worth saving some more.

Dont want to try people like that just ask the forum, failing that i will make a step down, just i know a few on here want big bores but dont want to HAVE to buy an exhaust to match it to get any better power. So i thought they may want to order a big bore and then swap there exhaust.
I will get pics later!
Also you wont belive how coked up an engine gets in so little mileage with that new restrictor, mine has a decent amout of carbon on and the 3000km piston had a 3mm thick layer!

Hoping to finish it asap and get rid of it then get in my next project.
Right, to the US members...
Over in the UK our bikes now have an EVEN smaller exhaust port, so i need to change my 00 exhaust port (normal US size) for a new UK restricted one.
06-04-2004, 03:29 PM
im still a little confused why u need the smaller one........ lol

You aint the sharpest knife in the draw are you vickers lol
06-04-2004, 03:39 PM
i athink i get it but I dont understand why he wants a restricted one if they run worse and why get a s/h smaller port thingy? lol
06-04-2004, 03:42 PM
Because i got the parts, crank, top end and other bits for about £64.00 of a friend we race with as they dont use standard parts.
So why refuse that and spend like £200+ when i can swap or buy a different exhaust.
Failing that i will machine a step down piece.

Do you even know what a engine is vickers lol

Hes beating around the bush to take the attention away from the engine as hes trying to figure out which bit it is :D
06-04-2004, 06:03 PM
just to get it rite, the enigine is the bit that makes it go rite???
06-04-2004, 06:07 PM
No the engines that thing you sit on. :D
06-04-2004, 06:25 PM
craig you said i was stupid! you dont sit on the engine u fool, its called the TANK, mite sell my rs50 cos the tank isnt very cumfy to sit on and theres this weird dip behind it and this blakc leather thing, mite get rid of that to save a bit of weight make me go faster. You would think the windscreen would be a bit bigger to componsate for having to sit so close to the bars. Had to get some custom stilts made aswell so i can brake and change gear

I got the standard exhaust from my 2003 TZR50 which is exactly the same as the RS50 exhaust, no differences what so ever (even mounting places are the same, only problem is I dont have the front section of the exhaust (the head end) All the rest is in very good condition (used for around 40 miles before my dad got fed up of waiting for me and bought me a new exhaust!) Anyway if your interested contact me.

When the project is complete you are selling it i beleive. I am going to spain for 3 - 4 weeks and will be back at about the middle of august. I will be coming back with the money for a bike!
If you could send me an email including mods and specs of the bike (big bore) etc and a price, would be hella apreciated m8
