I´m a Peg ´99 silver owner, and I live in Brazil. There is no many Pegs here, and in my city (one million people) there is just one Aprilia, just my Peg. And, in Brazil, there are just 5 Aprilia dealers. So, you can imagine how hard is for me to get parts or informations about her. And, you can imagine how happy I got when I found this forum....

My Silver Peg has only 350 Km, and I will travel to other States soon!!!

I am from Curitiba/Brasil, and there is only 1 bike in my city, mine! (it is a pleasure to see the expression of the people when i drive on the streets!).:eek:

I told that I Iive in São Paulo, but I live in Campinas now, and my family still live in São Paulo. In SP there is a little bit more Peg's, but here in Campinas just the mine.

I bought the mine in december 2002 too, but I' ve already riden 7.200 km...she's so confortable !!!! I went to Rio 3 times and to Minas Gerais twice. And, if you come to São Paulo, I'm waiting for you here, my friend !!
Oh ! I forgot...if you need or want to know prices of Peg's parts, tell me and I look that for you in the Gal. Osório (best prices in Brazil).

Hello, my friends.
I'm brazillian also(Joinville/SC), but I don't have a Pegaso. I'm thinking about it, because I have a custom Shadow 600, but it's not an apropriate bike for our country.
I would love to know more about the pegaso, which is my preference fopr the moment. I had not yet driven the bike. I am making a choice for the pegaso or Suzuki freewind.
Can you all give me an overview of the bike?
Advantages, disadvantages and such?
I'm concerned mainly about long travels and maintenance

I had no idea the Peg was so popular in Brazil. I have always wanted to visit....maybe I will one day when I have the time to do a proper tour....I need at least a couple months off work to do that though.

Hi Micah,

unhappyly the Peg isn't popular here, but the few owners are fall in love by their Peg's.
How I told you, the mine is the only Peg in Campinas (there is just one more Aprilia here, a RS 250 '99),and in Curitiba (Scorpion's city) ther is just his bike, and I believe that in Joinville there is just Metal's Peg. São Paulo, more than 15 million peoples, haven't more than 10 Peg's.
This is a problem, 'cause when you need some parts or technical informations, it's very hard to get them. "-Do you have Peg's chain ? - Chain for who ??? " I needed to mail Aprilia's site to get the information about the model, 'cause here none salersman knew to tell me wich one could fit.
But, every place where you go, another rides stop their bikes (BMW's GS, Freewinds, etc...) to ask "-What bike is this ? It's so beatiful....!!"
And, when you want to come to Brazil, we'll be waiting.....a friend of mine rode in Europe/Ásia, and now he built a Bike's tour operator in São Paulo (www.brazilonabike.com), and we always get tours around here. You're my guest if you wanna come here.

Thanks tks tks tks tks for this forum....I'm going next friday to a 3.000 km trip to Serra do Rio do Rastro (www.cprm.gov.br/coluna/se...sto.html), (http://www.cprm.gov.br/coluna/serra_rio_rasto.html),) that I knew here, and I'll meet Scorpion and his wife (that I knew in this forum too) in their city to enjoy this trip together.
I hope that another riders can make virtual friends of this forum become real friends and enjoy trips riding our Peg's around there.
