Hey, I have a 2010 Aprilia RS 50. I have few questions related to it.1. How could I get a little performance boost? By default, it's restricted to around 30mph, max legal for the 15 year old license (50cc) is 40mph. How could I boost it from 30 to 40? 2. Are there any bigger/wider mirrors available? The default ones are kinda small, only like half of the mirror is visible. 3. I asked this before, but anyone seen license plate holders for the new shape? I'd make it myself but the way it's mounted makes it confusing.. Thanks in advance. And the forum messed the formatting up, hope you can still understand what I am saying.

Remove the restrictions in the exhaust and upjet it, if you want it to go 40mph than i sugest you make the holes in the ristrictions larger.

Mirrors should be fine, you just need to adjust them properly, if not there are plenty of after market mirrors available.

Is that the most simple way to get that small speed boost? I'd rather not make big modifications, as I am going to sell the bike at the end of the year, when I have age for a 125cc license.

If you don't have a licence for the unrestricted 'ped, don't derestrict it. Apart from anything else it makes your insurance void, which could be very expensive for you.

Here it doesn't matter if it's restricted or derestricted, but if it goes over 40 MPH, then you get motorcycle tax.

That's what I meant by restricted.

The EU defines a moped as vehicle of less than 50cc with a top speed of 50 kph (31 mph). There's some laxity in the way the rules are enforced in different countries, but that 40 mph you're allowed should be downhill.

Here it's 45 KPH, because almost all stock mopeds (they're very popular here) go over 50 KPH, the police usually doesn't care if it goes 50-60 KPH. But 65KPH is the limit, after that it gets defined as a motorcycle and you have to pay taxes and re-inspect the bike. (They take your license plate).

Where do you live? sounds like the Netherlands :p: but they dont take your plate, they just take your registration papers.

I live in Finland. And yes, they do take the plate. You have to re-inspect to get it back.

If they take your registration papers here it has to be inspected also, so its basicly the same thing.
