hey guys I just picked up my dorsoduro two weeks ago and I'm ready for my 600 mile service. I completely gutted my stock mufflers ordered stage 2 filter setup and going to update to arrow map does anyone else have any more recommendations that I should do? Thanks

I am curious to know how you "gutted" the stock mufflers. I have been wanting to do this but i have not neen brave enough to open them up.
Thanks.

Well at first i just removed the cats put them back on and it made no difference in sound what so ever. So i cut the ends off right at the weld by where it exits with a plasma cutter but a band saw would of been much easier as the exit pipe is welded to one of the baffles. once i finally got the end removed i had to use a torch to cut out both baffles inside and removed all the piping internally it was kind of a pain. then tig welded it back together with a stainless steel rod. it still looks 100% stock and weighs a lot less. sounds pretty good but i have not been around another one so i cant really say if its close to an aftermarket pipe or not. I can make a youtube video so you can hear it if you want.

Thanks for the post. I just picked up an 09 750 Dorso and had been contemplating opening up the stock pipe and doing some surgery. Does it sound deeper or is still raspy like the stock? I would hope it sounds more throaty and deep.

Its very raspy and got annoying very fast. I imagine if i would of installed a straight through baffle and wraped it in muffler packing it would of been better but I just ended up going with the leo vince carbon pipes and they are amazing.

Hey, I just realized you're in Tucson. I'm just 20 minutes south in the Green Valley, Sahuarita area. I was suspicious that it would end up too loud and harsh (tin canny).
I did think about a straight through baffle with fiberglass wrapping. My buddy has a RSV 1000 and he modified his stock exhaust in that manner, it sounds great!
It's weird because I normally don't like anything stock but for some reason I'm liking the stock look of the Dorso exhaust.
I'm going to tackle it in the next month or so. I'll post the results.
