I've contacted both Sargent and Corbin about their plans to produce a replacement saddle for the Caponord. Neither company is planning on doing it at this stage. Other than a custom saddle from someplace like Rich's, are there any other alternatives? Any one else interested in this?

Ron, check <a href="http://pub165.ezboard.com/fapriliaforumfrm19.showMessage?topicID=126.topic" target="top">this thread</a> right here in this forum.

Someone had sargent do their capo saddle. I think corbin makes a big deal of how they replace the existing plastic that the seat is formed on, whereas sargent uses the existing pan and puts better foam and upholstery on it.

I'm having Rick Mayer build me a new seat on March 29th, and will let you know how it feels. Planning a 3500 mile ride for 10 days in April (San Francisco to Toronto, via New Orleans), so I'll give it a good workout!

Rick's seats have been highly recommended, he uses the existing seat pan and builds with various foam densities, covers in vinyl or leather.

I have over 3000 miles on my Rick Mayer Saddle. It solved the only riding complaint I had. Very comfortable on all day rides, no slipping around on the vinyl he uses and it looks good too.
