Great review.. interesting the suspension settings, anyone else found something similar? Mine is now paid for and on the truck tomorrow - should be grinning by next Tuesday!

Thank you for posting that review, it was very informative. I am more than happy to have one coming in the next month. But after reading this article. I want this bike NOW in my garage..... I am intrested to see what anyone else has to say about the suspension settings?????? I am about 5' 8" at 180lbs, anyone that has changed, tweaked or had set please advise....

Wow, same bore and stroke as ducati's newest 1199. Valve sizes that are friggin huge! With decent cam profiling that motor has monster potential and I am not talking Ducati Monster. If only I could truly program one exactly as I wish in terms of throttle control (direct 1:1), spark timing and injection values and raise the rev limit to suit the limit of he valve springs....wonder of a Dorso 1200cc motor might just fit in another chassis that is lighter and more sport oriented!

Best review I have seen to date. They obviously also got a properly set up test bike win latest mapping loaded!

I'm 187cm tall and 98kg, I set mine up with those settings and quite a difference! My preload is at 167mm instead of the stated 166.5mm and compression at 1.5 turns out, rebound 10 clicks out. It completely eradicates the odd 'weave' I'd get if the bike got unsettled on fast corners so I'm very happy.

115kg ... preload all the way up at the back ... the rest is all set @factory "sport" ... also happy ;)

Put the motor in an RSV4 chassis and sell it with no electronic aids and they can take my money.

That would be sweet but it would never fit...but an older TLR or even Ducati chassis may easily take the DD1200 motor. Pair of carbs, throttle by cable, no e-AIDS...it would be pretty interesting!

The 1199 has a 112 mm bore x 60,8 m stroke, the dd Has "only" 106 x67,8 , quite different

dd has same bore x stroke as "old" 1198 ducati

LOL, I noticed this little tidbit in there.

Neutral is very difficult to find when stopped

Wouldn't fit in an RSVR?

It also needs more power. Like, 1198 power.
