What type of license endorsement is needed to ride an MP3 in Texas? Anyone know if it is considered a motorcycle?

The best answer is it depends on the state regulations...currently in California, you can ride an MP3 with just a regular drivers license. But since I work on a military base, I went ahead and got the M1 (motorcycle) certification. Your best bet is to check with the Texas DMV.

In texas you will need motorcycle endorsement. That means taking the motorcycle safety class now.

The MP3 requires a MC endorsement on the license. Anything over 49cc requires a motorcycle license. The MP3 even though it has three wheels is classified as a motorcycle.
