Hello from Huntsville, Alabama,

I'm new to the forum here but am enjoying my 2 new Aprilia's added to my collection. My question is; on my dd1200, after i turn on the key to start, the display does it's self test and at the very end of the sequence i get a very small wrench icon in the lower center of the screen blinking 3 quick times and goes away.
I don't remember ever seeing this small icon appear before and i have 330 miles on the bike now. It starts and runs perfectly, actually better now then when i first brought it home. I've called the tech dept of the dealership which is very helpful to me and their saying that i still have a ways to go before my first oil change and perhaps the wrench icon is part of the basic start up, they are reserching this matter for me now to confirm this and how to go in the menu to reset this icon interval..

Anyone see this on theirs, out there.? Thanks in advance and i appreciate this great site to be a part of...

could be the info that your next planned "service" is coming up ... maybe ... check your manual to be safe :)

On my 750DD, the "wrench" icon would come on around scheduled maintenance miles. I believe the dealer can reset one that is on all the time after scheduled maintenance is performed. My 1200DD, I think the wrench came on somewhere before I hit 600 miles, an was of after the 600 mile service.
The service code is 98789, but I don't know if we can reset the wrench without another code deeper in the menus. If you have performed maintenance yourself, perhaps your dealer will share the maintenance reset code with you...just a guess.
