(Hi, newbie here. I've read with interest the debate surrounding Gabro and the V5 eprom he has developed for RSV. What I'm wondering is if there is anyone who has installed the chip with similar setups to my own.

2004-2005 Tuono-R. ZD4RPB
Tigcraft Japan 80mm slipon exhaust
Tigcraft eprom V. 00288

Any advice from experiance as to the outcome of changing the chipset
is appreciated.

What 'debate'? I must have missed that, results are positive, esp. for those attempting to address a concern, or coming from stock.

Not having ever had the opportunity to ride a V60 with the glorious metal sculptures that Tigs are, I can't state that the chip they supply can be improved upon.

How does it feel as is?
If you want to spend the money, it can't hurt to try, I guess.
And, it would take an inquiry to Gab to see if he has a chip mapped that specifically will apply to your setup - and he's a pretty honest chap.

I haven't heard much good about the Tig chip,in fact quite the opposite. And you'll not hear anything bad about Gabros chips. PM Gabro and ask him which chip and pay the man. You won't be disappointed.

I have just ordered Gabro chip for my Tuono... well a friend of mine did. I just drove his Mille with Gabro chip which he installed on saturday and there is a big difference. The ride is more smooth I went for a short ride and liked it. I hope it will be the same with my Tuono. :)) Can`t wait.

I've had my chip in the bike since I've owned it. I have the stock and the sport chip standing by. I'm afraid that if I were to swap the chips, a nexus of blackholes would be created and would suck me and the bike into another dimension where I would be judged by super-italian sport bike gods who would want me to explain what the fuck I was doing for not using the gabro chip.

just saying.

The Tig chip is a clone of another chip, can't remember which.

Gabro's is the way to go. It's a no brainer.

Arrow I believe.

Same as the Akrapovic single setup chip that is a clone of the Aprilia EVO TI chip. Same numbers to identify so visibly cannot tell them apart either.

Gabro's V5 is superior...no question, no doubt. Go fo it I reckon.

I've done a direct comparison between the Arrow and Gabro V2/V5 on my Tuono and also between the Ape Ti and Gabro's chip for the 2000.5 Mille (forget the version #). In both cases Gabro's chips were far superior in terms of throttle reponse and overall power delivery.

And you used my (now) chip. :D

Arrow I believe.

I bought an Arrow clone from AF1 during some chip trouble-shooting (DON'T ask) and if yours is based on that then yeah, there's a LOT of improvement possible.

Should be around 75 Euro for a two map, more if you have special customizing requests.

Go for Gabro chip, the bike rides so much better (pulls better from lower revs, smoother throttle response, more powah )

I just bought one 75 euor for the single. I purchased the twin map which is normally 125 Euro. Gab charged me 100Euro for twin:worship:
