Level, 6th gear into 15 mph quartering headwind. Had some more to go, but when hitting 140, the additional knots take a while to accumulate, particularly when it is 101 degrees out.:peace:
Of course with the 6% speedo, the actual speed was 141 mph.

Tucked in tight, no buffeting whatsoever. Sat up (holding on TIGHT) decelerating thru about 125, no buffet there either.:)

Did you ever actually hit the rev limiter? I bet adding couple teeth on the rear sprocket would help it hit that speed quicker unless you smacked into the rev limiter @ 150.

No, did not hit the rev limiter, which I think is at 10,000RPM. Have not hit it in any gear yet. I have reset my gear shift indicator to 9,000RPM as the dyno posted by AF1 shows the 1200 mil dropping off after 9,000RPM.
Took the bike to the gear shift light in 5th gear, which was about 142mph indicated. Thought I might decel from there, but instead shifted to 6th and pinned the throttle. Took a few more seconds to accel to 150 and was accelerating very slowly into the headwind (also 101 degrees). The shift light was NOT flashing in 6th and it wouldn't until the speedo hits 154. I suspect it will make it to 154 in calm wind and cooler temps.
