I'd be tempted to remount that on some kind of flexible rubber bobbins - I know from experience that the top bracket on the steel tank can fracture, leak and maybe even come off. It's a bitch to weld back too - oily, thin material etc.

Digging up an old post...
Getting ready to fit an RSV tank on my bird, and I haven't tried fitting it up yet. I see in the pic above I will need that bracket to hold the top of the oil tank. How well do the lower 2x mounting tabs match up? Anyone have measurements for that bracket (hole to hole, offset)? Anything else I will need??

Iirc top one was the only bracket that had to be fettled - rest were all ok

I've been meaning to do something like this for about, oh, five years now. My "temporary" solution, a zip tie, is still holding strong in the interim. Nice bracket - did you make it yourself?

yes..... no fingers lost.......
that was amazing!

This is what I used to have too but I much prefer the Falco oil tank and cooler so when I had the link pipes added to my exhaust, I had the mid section altered to mate with a Falco front header and to clear the oil tank - it's a neater way to do it.
