The plans for the HOON are basically, HOONers arrive late afternoon/early evening FRIDAY 16th September.
HOON on the Saturday 17th September.
Scarborough,OLIVERS MOUNT RACES on Sunday 18th September.
HOON-off home on Monday 20th September.
I HAD A THOUGHT.

I have located a cottage locally to me that sleeps upto 8 people & i can accomodate about 4 without anyone having to camp outside.
At the moment there are 10 people wanting to go a HOONing, the cost of the cottage is a total of £350 for all 3 nights, if ALL HOONers pay only £35 each towards the cost,which equates to less than £12 per night each, we would have more than enough accomodation & all close together.
Before making any rash judgements about this idea, hear my thoughts; if we were to hire the cottage, everyone would have a proper bed on the Friday night,we could then have the HOON as stated on the Saturday, sleep in a bed for the night, ride to SCARBOROUGH on the Sunday for the racing then return to the cottage & hit the town for a few bevvies on the night then after a good nights rest in a proper bed HOONers could get up on the Monday morning fresh for the journey home.
I have provisionally booked the cottage but have to get back to the owner as soon as possible to confirm or cancell.

PS, if we go with the cottage idea then i will require ALL monies before i confirm it.

Right, i've been & paid in full the cottage money & had a quick look around. Apart from the road being a bit dodgy , the chance of running over a deer or ten, avoiding running over last nights "big cat" deer kills, trying to miss the peacocks & rabbits on the road, it seems to be ok. The cottage has a big farmhousey type of kitchen, 2 lounges, a utility room, a bathroom & 3 bedrooms. It is fairly basic but it'll do you feckers for a weekend thats for sure.:rolleyes:
