I called Larry Klein of GT Motors in Lansing, MI on Tuesday to discuss having inspections & service done on the Guzzi. Very nice guy. He spent 15 minutes asking me about the bike and telling me about a couple things to do right away.

He recommended that I buy a copy of Guzziology by Dave Richardson. I ordered it from him over the phone and it was at my door when I got home from work Wednesday.

What a cool book! It's a cross between a service manual and Guzzi encyclopedia. Anybody else own this?

An ybody who owns and even pretends to want to work on their own bike, (especially if it has been 'modified'.) and doesn't own Guzziology is an idiot. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable on all the twins and especially on Tonti's form the '70's and '80's and 'Modern' stuff but I have Guzziology in three editions, (It is constantly updated and I believe that if you return your own copy Dave gives you a discount on the new one. I might be wrong.) and regularly use it as a refference and font of knowledge.

Nobody knows 'Everything'. The great thing is that with Guzziology there is a stupendous compendium of knowledge available at a pitance for anybody who is interested!!!

Ask Dave to sign it and it will really be "personalized". He's a great guy.

That sounds good. That would be the second book I get from a forum member in the last two weeks.

Got it, used it for working on two Tonti framed bikes.

For the street, Dave does not recommend lightening the flywheel anymore.
Stock flywheel is 14# iirc and i lightened mine at home by 4.5#.

My buddy Sean did some work on another friends T3. swapped out the flywheel with another flywheel that was a little lighter but was the same diameter so it spun a bit easier without sacrificing too much inertia.

just a thought.
