OK folks, follow your concience, but a local rag is running a poll
<a href="http://www.obantimes.co.uk/" target="top">Here</a>
On the right hand side of the page it reads
"Should speeding motorcyclists be banned from West Highland roads if caught? "

Oban is a gateway to our paradise, ferries out to the islands and at the heart of things. There is no doubt they see a lot of bikers, squids included, but further persecution of one form of transport is what it is and they can use this $hit and make it stick. They have already introduced a helicopter(last year) and video camera bikes (an SP1 in one case) for the cops just to catch bikers . . . . . . .
So, anyone else care to vote?

Thanks in anticipation

You got my vote. I have toured in that part of the world and it is stunningly beautiful. The good news is two thirds are not in favour of banning. Mind you if the poll had suggested caning, I am not sure what the result would be

Shame shame shame on them (the police)..............
at this pace there will be absolutely no fun anymore in riding bikes within a few years !!
Last week i rode on a a piece of a mainroad for 4km and had to pass 4 (! ! !) speedcameras and you all know how difficult it is to keep up with speedlimits even if you try and especially on a bike !!!
Don't they have more important things to do ??
Or is it just an easy way to make money as they undoubtly know that we are speeding most of the time even with the throttle halfway ?
Damn......(sorry)
