do the ATV guys knows about us?!!?

You'll find a better match with the CanAm Spyder engine. It's basically a Falco engine with a 5 speed and reverse tranny.

I have taken numerous calls from ATV racer's looking for go fast information and parts, the last one wanted 33mm exhaust valves. They all claim to be making 60-70 bhp, which we all know is false but, apparently a lot of parts interchange!

i've one ported front head, sigle plug, to sell  maybe those ATV guys will buy it!
(and maybe I can sell the manymany 10.60mm lift camshaft from '00 RSV and Falco that i will never re-use and now are taking rust and dust on my shelf :worship: )
i'm intrested to those titanium valve springs and retainers :p:
ROTAX V990 WILL NEVER DIEEEE!!

Piston is not compatible. Need a longer conrod to be used in the V990.
And cams have lower lift and less duration.
With high-comp piston, V990 cams and 57mm butterfly, the 449 could be really powerfull.
Rotax sub-contracted developement for pneumatic valves for production ATV. It was based on late heads (with oval exhaust exit). I saw a head on the test bench, very nice building. Rotax build a series of 1000 or 2000 heads. But the project was stopped when the sub-contractor stopped its activities due to financial crisis. A mate who was working on this project said the motor was very powerfull, about 70hp. He was planning to use this stuff on his own V990.But as everyone was fired, his project also stopped. I don't know what Rotax made with all this project.

interesting. this one likely won't work for a motorcycle, but there are some cool 2-cylinder 2-strokes up there as well

What a shame that he totalled that beautiful bike. It's like someone died when that happens. You're just heartbroken.
