Just wondering whether or not the temp the bike climbs too is too high or normal, before the engine swap the highest the coolant temp went was 102 deg celcius or 215.6 deg F, after the engine swap it climbs too 105-106 deg c or 221-222.8 deg F, just want to make sure this is ok or if anyone else experienced the same thing also i know that when they did the engine swap they updated the akra mapping from the first version available to the second version that came out, havent updated to the latest yet! any thoughts would be gratefull thanks guys!!

Also i was thinking of using water wetter mixing some in with the coolant, is this a good idea and will it have any effect??

The RSV4 runs quite hot. Mine gets up to 105 in slow running.

Also, see this thread:
And post #7 re Water Wetter.

yep, mine is always over 210 on hot days in traffic

Those numbers sound right on...

Summer (100 degrees F) =
220's Traffic
190's Highway

Autumn (85 degrees F) =
200's Traffic
170's Highway

In southern california, on hot days (95-100 F outside) my bike will climb to 230F when in traffic after a ride. Will generally run in the 212 range when cruising. Is this OK?

In the last week, temps here have been in low 50's in the mornings and 60's to low-70's during the day.

On the way into work, I've seen the bike sit in the 170F range in the cooler temps. In the warmer part of the day and in traffic, I see 213F in traffic and then the fans knock it back down to 206 pretty quickly.

What's notible is, the Race mapping definitely seems to cause the bike to warm up more slowly, both from a cold start and also when idling in traffic.
