View Full Version : RXV wheels
Searched the forum, still not sure. I want to get a second set of wheels so I can have a choice between a 80/20 dirt/pave setup or a 50/50 dirt/ pave setup and easily swap wheels instead of ripping off the tires every other day. Can I use Excel wheels(KTM) with spacers? There was never a definitive answer in the froums. I know that I could look for some RXV wheels, but there is a much larger selection of other wheels on ebay and such and I am guessing the price will be softer as well. What works other than stock?
Bueller........Bueller.......?

i recently did a front end swap, and found out that the front hub is almost identical to a husky front hub. not sure about the rear.
note use of "almost". the stock brake rotor on the aprilia is unique. bolt pattern and size... i searched everywhere trying to find alternates, either a husky bolt pattern in 270 or an aprilia pattern in 260, and got skunked. probably no trouble finding 320 rotors in either pattern though, which might work if you are going for a supermoto setup...
Thanks. No, I am actually going to keep the off road rims. Just looking for an easy daily swap of wheels when I am going to be hitting the asphalt more than I normally would and shredding the knobs. Did you by chance search to see if there are companies who make caliper mount adaptors? By the time I do everything else expense wise to make other wheels fit, I would probably be better off just gettting the ape wheels.........nah, no fun in that!
