Now that I only need a rear to finish the bike, it seems that a rear marchesini is impossible to track down. Has anyone mounted a non aprilia rear to their bike? I have access to a full machinery shop so spacers won't be an issue. What I need to ensure, is that the space between rear sprocket and disc is similar so everything lines up.
Any advice or experience?

im trying to fit something elses rims onto mine as well. as far as i can figure out (i've measured about 100 odd bikes now) a Duke 748-998 front will fit pretty close and in the rear either a ktm990 or a Duke 749 may fit (there sprocket to brake disc dimensions are around 190mm, rather than about 200-210 of most bikes). I think on both you'd need to machine down the sprocket carrier and possibly shim out the brake a bit but they are the closest i can find. The advantage being the 749 wheel is very close to the current marchesini wheels.
Theres one bike in the members gallery (page 110) with rsv-r wheels
