i just love modding up bikes (past bikes have been mx , speedway solo , enduro , streetfighters & superbikes some have been in magazines) as a hobby (or modding sickness) been doing it for 20+ yrs. just like how you enjoy engine building ;)
also a KTM640ADV will suit me better were i ride , distances etc

reasonably loud (very similar to my nephews WR450) but not a deep sound say like an XR600 or my 1000 v-twin bikes
