OK. the T is sold. I'm now in possesion of an old school ZX10. It rips with the ZZR1200 motor in it. It has 41mm flat slides. It will not accept a full throttle wack. If I roll on the throttle it will totally rip. I think it's the nature of the large carb beast. Am I wrong??

If your carbs have accelerator pump(s) you'll want to look at initial pump timing, length of squirt and amount of squirt. Of course pull the pump diaphram and be sure its not torn. These are common checks and adjustments.

Couple questions. Do you know if it ever ran proper with the current carb settings, or is it a "mix and match" motorcycle that was never fully sorted? Did it sit for a long time and is this the cause? What changed since it ran good?
I tend to ask this first then dig in and after inspection for dirt, assembly error or huge vacuum leak then I begin dialing in. I try to reference stock settings first too as a benchmark. If I had to guess on yours I'd say it's getting too much air (pods? & pipe?)- but that's just a guess.

If you open it all the way and it stumbles let off a touch. What does it do then?Pick up and run well?Or continue to nose over?
