Note also it has new, 6mm allen bolts to clamp the forks to avoid the overtorquing by cretins that led to the 'Oh bugger my forks have snapped' syndrome,

See how it now has a sensible rim size allowing fitment of *sensible* tyres for a polar bear smuggling bike. Yeah, so if you want to smuggle polar bears you are going to ride something that weighs in at over 1/4 of a tonne!!!! :roll:

Daniel is the importer's tech bloke and I have to say I'm happy to have him. If he doesn't know? he says so and asks around until he finds out. Puts on no airs and graces. One of the things that has pissed me off with Navigator is that every time I fire it up it says 'Updates ready for remore device', presumably that means the box we hang off the bike. I asked him today about it and said "What do we do?". His reply, (Through gritted teeth.) "Wait till fucking Texa tell us!" I' can live with that!!!!! :D

The Stelvio has a gorgeous frame. Nice pics.
We don't smuggle polar bears in California - but we do have a Big Austrian lately.

That's a great looking bike. Is it any harder to do adventure style riding at really low speeds through technical terrain with the sideways torque twist of a Guzzi engine?

No.
You only feel that at a stop when you blip the throttle. Not when you are moving.
There is a big difference in the revs from idle to midrange.
when you are rolling the rev difference is a lot less.
Guzzi's corner very well _and_ they roll off center nice and easy because they are not fighting the torque of the crank - inline fours are cross to the lean of the machine when you corner.

I rode the press bike when it came through SF. Very nice bike. Just a bit out of my price range so I ended up with the Capo. I am very happy with the Capo BTW.

Well get a test ride yer great streak o' pelican shit! I reckon it would suit you to a Tee. All the spidermonkey leg problems you had with my Griso are a non event with the Sport. I know you're in Queensland now but surely you could get a test ride at Tommy's or Gold Coast Suzuki. Shit! Fly down here for a weekend with the missus, stay at our place and go and flog the demo from the new Canberra dealer. I reckon you'd like it. If you can't ome at the 8V the old pushrod version is still a bloody fine bike, and they'll suddenly be cheap now the 8V is here.
