Hi,

Just wondering, is there any difference in an "ordinary" pipercross filter bought from whoever seller at ebay, vs the socalled "Alice Racing pipercross" filter?

Thinking maybe alice racing has modified them or something?

Read something about the alice ones beeing taller for more airflow...

I paid for the moulds and designed the filter, and had one year exclusivity regarding sales.
Now you can buy the "standard" filter from many suppliers, but the RACE filter is only supplied by myself, uses BSB type foam.

From the photos I've seen, the Alice race filter is also a different shape than the standard one. As far as choosing between the two, I guess it's a question of application... Street use with average maint schedules might lean towards the standard filter, while racing with frequent cleanings might lean towards the Alice filter. I use the standard one because I could get the filter for less than the cost for Alice to ship me one of the race filters. I don't know if the filters have been changed so that you don't have to modify it to fit a 2008 or not, but Alice can answer that question.

Thats what I thought I`ve read something about in here along time ago, but wasnt sure how the story really was... So Stuart, for my streetbike, what would YOU recomand out of those two? And would appreciated a a short explanation of the differences of them as well? :)

I understand you are located in the UK somewhere, and Im in Scotland at the moment for work. Will be here 9 more days, before I head home to Norway. I would love to take the filter back home with me since it would spare me the cost of shipping and taxes in Norway. The problem is that I have no post address here... For you guys that live here and are familiar with the UK, is there a easy solution to this?

Cheers :)

My pipercross filter and silmoto arrived quicker from Alice Racing to the states then most places I order from here in the states. I would not hesitate to order parts from them again :)
