Has anyone got a drawing or dimensions of the tool for locking the crank at TDC.

I think it is a long M8 bolt with the end ground to a pointy point, then rounded off. At least, thats how I made mine. There is a picture in the haynes manual though .......

So what are you doing then? Timing cams?

Or is it top secret?

How did you get on with grinding the cam gears? I use Hildred Engineering (http://www.hildredengineering.co.uk/). They have a nice wire eroder.

The length required is quite long I think.....I didn't have a long enough M8 bolt to hand....but a long length of threaded M8 rod, 2 nuts and a grinder and its sorted. Took 5 mins

Thanks Viggen I've got loads of M8 stuff, I'll bung a piece in the lathe and turn it up.

Hi Max yes I'm having a pre-season prat about. I didn't have time to set my Factory up last year just bunged all my stuff of my old one so I'm going for the full set up and then get it re-mapped. I haven't had time to get the cam sprockets off yet, to busy doing house stuff so the wife won't moan when I'm stuck in the garage or out in Wales for hours on Sunday's. Also going for a set of flat bars to get more weight on the front, got to machine an adjustable mount for the fairing so I can get some clearance. It'll probably look crap and make my wrists ache but you have to try.
