I was tempted by the shorties, but guess I have wimpy hands ;) and feel the clutch is heavy enough already. Also I'm not sure about the asymmetric look of a shorty brake and long clutch lever...be interested to hear how you get on when they are fitted.

My order should have shipped yesterday - should get them in 3-7 business days. I'm glad I held out for Pazzo, as I haven't seen any posts to suggest anyone has actually got the Titax levers yet.
Anyone???

And they look so similar to each other too.
Hmmmmmm.

Great News !!! Will no doubt get me some....
I have Pazzos on my Fireblade - Initially I fitted shorties but I just could not get use to the short brake lever. Personal opinion is that it felt vulnerable - particularly if I had to grab it in an emergency situation.
I swapped the brake shorty to a long - much better. I will probably go short clutch & long brake on the Dorso as well.

I got my Pazzos yesterday. Went on a ride with the shorties today and they were fantastic. They take a bit of getting used to, but they're awesome once you do. Pictures are here: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2453698&postcount=722
Hope these are useful.
They look great.
I hope the Titax are as good.
Do they pull more smoothly?

OceanbornOne, how is the clutch pull with just two fingers?
How was the fit up - did the bolt up easy (i.e. everything lined up)?
They went on super easy and the adjustor on them is really user friendly. I am kinda disappointed in the orange on the tab, the gold would probably go way better with my grips but I am still really impressed.

I don't know whether the effect is wishful thinking or not, but they do seem to pull more smoothly than the OEMs.

The clutch can be pulled with two fingers, but I think I still prefer the security of three, particularly when downshifting. I am feeling pretty wimpy at this stage of my life, though, so it may be easy for some of you.
As Mr. X said, the fitment is really easy. It took me about 10 minutes tops for the entire process. It can be a bit tedious getting the levers lined up to the holes, but just be patient and don't try to force anything and you'll get it.

Mr. X, how well does the orange tab match with the body panels?
Its lighter than the body, you can tell how close in the pic I posted.

Thanks.
In the upper pic, it looks close enough that I would say they match. If the lower pic is a more accurate depiction, I'd say they don't match.

Just arrived home from a trip and my Pazzo levers are waiting to be fitted! Beautiful pieces of kit, with a real quality (light) weight and feel. The orange adjusters are really not a match for the tank/body colour, though. It's more of a metallic hue, not as light as the lower of the two photos from Mr X, not quite as dark as the top one. Still, I can't wait to get them fitted this weekend!
OK - I got impatient and fitted them, and like the others said, it's a breeze. Now all that's needed is some warmer weather and time to go out riding.... Looking at the long levers, they don't seem much shorter then the originals, so maybe the shorty levers would have been OK, and less likely to get damaged in a drop. Adjustment-wise, I have short fingers, and feel like they need to be at the closest setting.

For those that have them already:
Do they reduce the travel take-up compared to oem ? (ie. That 'dead zone' between pulling the level in and feeling the feedback of the master cyl.)
Dead zone?
Mine are great as standard.
Of course I'm comparing them with the last bike I had which was made in the mid 90's :)
Do you mean the clutch or the brakes?

sorry about picture sizes, i actually ordered gold levers with red tab, thought i,d try them anyhow and really like them, clutch side does feel weird being short !!
I wasn't sure but seeing the short levers makes me happy I ordered the long.
I don't think I could cope with the shorties.
They look kinda short. :)

That's a great looking DD. I think the red levers really compliment the red flashes you have on the body panels.

Wads,
Nice looking DD - obviously gets more love that the bicycle in the background ! (and so it should...) :)
1 thing I noticed, bottom tab on your side fairing should be behind the the radiator trim. This is the way it's designed to fit - fit's better & looks much neater. Mine was delivered like this, as are a few others I've seen....

I was referring to the clutch mostly - but yeah - it depends what your used to. I run Brembo RCS masters on my Fireblade, which are very nice so I find the Dorso has more free travel than I'd like - from day 1 I've always thought Aprilia got the clutch master to slave displacement ratio wrong.
ie. like many others have experienced, the clutch lever has got to be out on positions 1 or 2 to get enough displacement on the slave to get the clutch to fully dis-engage so neutral can be easily (well, easier) selected.
On mine, even on position 3 (which is where I want the lever) the clutch has to be pulled all the way to the grip to select neutral. For this reason alone, I would not consider putting shorties on this bike.
thanks oscar dog and down under dorso, sorted the fairing, now just got the bicycle to finish lol:cheers:
That's funny. On mine I only need to pull it an inch or so.
Yup, your DD looks nice.

are there any advantages using a shorty...? by using a shorty, how many fingers do you use; 3? does it make pulling clutch easier or faster?

2 finger operation - but if you currently need to pull the clutch to the bar grip to get it to work then I would not recommend a shorty - end of lever will hit your rin6g finger.
For the brake, if you're confident with having 1/2 the grip area on something so very, VERY IMPORTANT, then go for it !
I tried it, didn't like it so went long on the brake.

Wads, your bike looks awesome! looks like you've spent a fair bob or two on it. Where are your hand guards from?
Does anyone have any experience of fitting acerbis handguards, dual road ones, when trying them up to the bars the bolt is too long which goes inside the bar as it hits an obstacle inside the bar, can i drill this out ? sorry no pictures im rubbish on computers and the kids are out
Sorry I was abit lazy, found a previous post, thanks

Well, having finally had a nice enough day to try them (first ride if the year :)) I can say the Pazzo levers look and feel great! I have smallish hands, and have both levers set to position 1. With the original clutch lever, at the closest position, the bike would barely go into neutral, and would be pulling forward when in 1st, even with the lever pulled all the way in. No such problems with these ones. I am very happy with the quality, ease of fitment, function and price of these!
