Have you looked on the micapeak newsgroup?
laverda@micapeak.com
or look up Wolfgang Haerter in British Columbia, Canada. Wolfgang is _great_ for getting parts for Breganze bikes. Dunno how much trouble he has shipping to Oz.

yeah. micapeak is real good for knowledge sharing and asking other Breganze owners "how to's". I am guessing Wolfgang would know about your engine number inquiry but I'm not sure. His primary effort is parts. Micapeak is a good go first. And there are some nice loonies on micapeak.

Hi John

Don't your Lavs have a plate on the headstock that tells the month and year of Manufacture? For Instance, my 1200 no.1697 was made in Nov. 1977

Hey,

If your still trying to figure year models, if Breganze built, try www.laverdamania.net
Look for numbers around yours.. While your there put yours in..:)

My Jota is an 80 model, comes up as a 79, so not entirely accurate, but close enough...

Where in Oz are you..

Ciao, Ross.

Just noticed on re reading your initial post, both triples..
