Well until very recently with the V4 engine Ferrari and Aprilia did not have much to do with each other. Ferrari and Ducati have worked together sharing resources for years though. There is even a tiny amount of Ducati stuff displayed in Maranello at the Museo Ferrari.
The designer of the V4 engine is/was with Ferrari as an engine designer. Looking at the one Ed swapped out yesterday it is a miracle of compact packaging and engineering.

I remember reading he wanted to lessen the angle on the "V", but more room was needed for the TB's.

That is sacrilegious. Whenever I see anyone deviate from stock paint, I generally think it's because they've wadded the bike. The Ferrari logo is just plain retarded - and I like Ferrari. But I want to know how to do the LED lights. Is Aprilia seeing this?
