4,600 MILE SERVICE

Hello All,
My service light just popped up at 4,600 miles. I have talked to a few and some state to reset it and keep riding till 10,000 then bring it in for a valve job. What are all your views, much appreciated. Thanks

As long as you change the oil about every 3K miles and check the valves at 10K intervals all should be well. On any service I like to check the torque of all visible fasteners and flush all hydraulic fluids...but thats just me.

What kind of oil do you all like to run? Anyone do synthetic? Or is that not right for the falco?

I use only Motul 15W50 semi synthetic.

I just filed up with Maxum 4 20w50 a synthetic blend. So far 600 miles no clutch slippage and I am not easy on her. Temp likes to run at 168 have not seen that in a while but the temp outside has also changed. My real question and thank you Mitch is has anyone bypassed the 4600 mile service in lieu of the 10,000 mile mark. Thanks in advance.
