Shout out to my dealer!

A quick shout out and kudos to my dealer ( Barney's motorcycle and marine ) in St. Pete ( Tampa, Fla. area ) for taking my bike in and cranking it out same day for the 600 mile check. Barney's sells a lot of different bikes but has a dedicated Aprilia tech and wants to do right by these bikes.
I live 120 miles away and had planned to leave the bike and make two trips
( tolls, gas, time and Mana separation anxiety ) but after arriving there they said I could get it back in the afternoon and I was home at 4 pm. THANK YOU!
I won't expect that in the future but this time was a real plus for me.
The tech even came out at the end and told me my bike was " thinking right" !

Send them a letter stating the same. Too many times all a dealer hears is complaints & bitching. Trust me they will really appreciate it. Continued good luck with the Mana.:cheers:

in '67-'68 I was a good customer of Barneys in St Petersburg. Ray Hempstead, his wife Beverly, the daughter of the owner, Royal Sherbet, a tech at Barneys used to go swimming and boating at their place on a lake. We raced at the road race track in Dade City.

Damn, those were fun days.

I'm new to Barney's and picked it because of the trade in and mainly the Aprilia service. It is an old time shop with a modern flair. They even have a museum of sorts on the third floor of the building heralding their accomplishments in racing and a smattering of restored bikes ( this sold me since I'm a collector also). The facility is modern and clean and the people were nice. As far as the principals go, I have no idea who is who but I got a letter afterwards from a Mr. Woods ( president). All in all it was a good experience!
