ok.. I'mma do this myself this time.
oil change = 2 filters? I see 1 on the body... found the drain plug (small, but seems like it'll work) - are the filters stacked? or am I missing seeing the 1 on the right side of the bike?
also..
on my '02 falco.. WHERE is my gd gas tank stand? according to the manual - it's snapped in under the rear cowl... nope.. not on mine.. don't even see the holders.. then again.. the manual that came with the falco says, "Mille".... the stand isn't hinged under the tank either.. so what' sup? eh?

1 filter, 2 drains... The second drain is located just behind the filter cover and is magnetic. So pull it and wipe it clean. Lots of particles stuck to it should raise a big red flag.
As far as the prop rod for the tank, my early bike came with one, but I've heard that a lot of bikes are missing them. If you bitch nicely to your dealer, he may come up with one for you...

My '01 Falco did not come with a prop rod. The dealer told me that it was Aprilia's way of diverting your desire to work on your own bike. The dealer was understanding when I flew off the handle and sent me one in the mail right away. Any understanding dealer will probably do the same.

My 2001 came without a prop. I complained to the dealer and he have me one. I pressed it into the plastic holder under the rear seat. It rattled loose and fell out somewhere.
Here's my replacement. Take a 10" and a 6" socket extension (3/8" drive) and snap them together then fit a 3mm or 4mm hex socket to the male end. Now you just put the female end in the hole in the steering stem and the hex socket fits in the of the bolt holes on the forward edge of the tank.
It holds the tank higher than the cheap coat hanger rod that the factory makes.

www.geocities.com/sl_mille/ (http://www.geocities.com/sl_mille/)
It says 2000.5 Falco, I believe but the information is applicable to an 02 as well, except for early defects/recalls.
