Good little read:

The energetic husband and wife team of Van and Cathy Butler (yes that's her riding) sponsored by Mototek took to the flats and set new speed records for Aprilia. Halfway through the landspeed season, three records have already been broken at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats.(MPS-G 82.55mph, MPS-F 83.98mph and APS-G 84.36mph) The Mototek Butler RS50:

the motorcycle that has been setting repetitive Land Speed Records at Bonneville Salt Flats, breaking all records in the production class, beating all other manufacturers at World of Speed events and being recorded in the World Book of Speed as the fastest 50cc motor in the history of FIA/FIM sanctioned events. The Mototek Butler RS50 features an extended swing arm, lowered to a total height of 31 inches, with on board computer, carbon modified bodywork and a full KRD motor. Mototek Butler Team Created: In 2002, Mototek Racing and Van Butler Design teamed up to launch Mototek Butler Racing and aimed their goal at setting a new World Land Speed Record for a 50cc motorcycle. The team opted to race an Aprilia RS50. The Mototek Race Team, which had been racing the Aprilia RS50 since 1997, brought to the venture its extensive racing experience and expertise with the motorcycle. Modifying the engine with specialty race parts from KRD Spain (a brand for which Mototek Imports, Inc. is the national US importer), the team created a new version of the RS50 motor, making an amazing 25 horse power at the rear wheel and speeding over 100 mph at sea level. The team's goal is to break the 100mph mark under race conditions...stay tune
