Took the bike to be dyno tested today at Seton Tuning (best engine builder out there in my opinion) and these are the figures.
Akra full stainless system only.

Rev ceiling of 13500rpm.
80.6 ft pound torque.
Top speed - 189mph.
168 bhp at the rear wheel.

Lovely fueling all through, Akrapovic didnt lie about that, and only running slightly lean between 8-10000rpm.
We could fit a power commander but Phil reckons it will only increase by about 2bhp so will leave that for now i think.

Not bad for a stock bike eh?

Video and charts to follow on Monday.:)

Need the front fork internals changing though as you run out of adjustment too quickly and re-bound isnt sufficient.

What was the dyno type and scale (e.g., SAE) used?

wonder what the magic maps will release?

Dyna Pro dyno. Din rear wheel hp if that makes any sense?

Message passed on from my engine tuner.

I know that the dyno, if anything, is not an optimistic one as it simulates wheel against road conditions rather than a free spinning wheel.

168 hp / 80.6 torque- with only a pipe...Wow! And this in a 600 sized bike...

That's almost in exact agreement with Akrapovic's dyno results on their exhaust.

165 HP peak stock....168.8 HP with the Akrapovic system.

3 hp for $2000

you need to look over the 3hp and see the extra power and torque through out the rev range.

Yeah, about 4 HP increase near max rpm, and maybe 6 HP increase at lower rpm. A small HP increase means there certainly isn't much torque increase. This isn't a knock on the Akrapovic or any other exhaust, it just shows how good the stock exhaust is for making power. The aftermarket exhaust will save some weight, and you don't measure that with a dyno.

that was m6y point too you just said it better, thanks!

there can't be huge torque gains and no HP gains and on a 180hp bike 3 HP is negligible

i would like to know the weight savings on this bike over stock not HP

Here are the charts, 1 in rpm, the other in top speed

though when it comes to the usa bikes, you wont be seeing as much power with your standard petrol

your bike may be higher than what you think

i have had my zxr400 race bike on plenty of dyna pro dyno's and its always run 5-7 hp down from many other dyno's

so looks like you may have more power than what you think
and i agree seton tuning is a fantastic engine builder

Wonder if the 'official' mapping clears up the lean fuelling between 8-10,000 rpm...
