Yes Aviator, I have one for my Falco and it looks as good as it works. Arrived promptly as well.
Cheers from Sydney Australia.
PS. I have had trouble though getting an RSV Carbon Guard for the Falco, from them, and had to cancel my order. Take this as you wish.

I hope your's fits better than mine does, mine doesn't fit worth a damn.
with the bottom straight, and the gap around the gas fill straight the right and left sides are crooked, and it leaves a 1/4 inch void between the carbon and the tank. Not at all pleased with the fit.

you can also see where it's started to crack from trying to push it around and make it actually FIT against the tank. Really sorry I spent $75 on this, could have been spent much better elsewhere.
allthough they did write back and said it might be the wrong one, so I'm mailing it back to australia, hopefully they'll figure out whats up.

I purchased an ART cabon fiber tank guard. I did not like the way it fits. So I took it off and gave it to another fellow RSV rider. He loves it. I guess it matters how picky you are.

for future reference it costs about $24 US to mail a one pound package to australia. Yet another 24$ I'll never see again.

Sorry to see such a shoddy product. But mine fitted perfectly.

I found I had to use mine for a couple of weeks then it stuck quite well without problems.
Sorry to hear your not happy.

further update, I mailed off the protector last week and it's there already (it takes less time to get a package to australia via mail than it does florida, go figure) they're going to fit it on a falco and see what the deal is, they might redeem themselves yet.

what is that grey material?
the protector looks like faux carbon fiber over a spongy adhesive. is that what it is made of?

gray material? that silver is the tank on my bike and the black is the cutouts on the sides of the tank.
it's real CF, just not shaped very well :(

I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, didn't get it yet. Now I'm not so sure I want it. Thanks for the info.

well to update it further, I sent it to them, and they put it on a falco tank and claim it fit perfectly, but are sending me a brand new one, maybe it'll fit better.
they're not big on communication, when I ordered mine I heard NOTHING until it showed up after about a week, mail from AUS to the US is amazingly quick, 4 days.

I ordered one of these for my red beast. It showed up within a week. It fits the older "solid color" tank much better. There are no lines in the paint to match up with. The only problem I see is the tape they use. It wasn't cut very well and shows on the edges. I plan on taking it off and using a spray adhesive. I really like the look. It matches my rear CF hugger perfectly. It also covers the tank better than anything else I have tried. I can send a picture if any one is interested. $71.45 shipped to my door.

it's not really the mis-matching lines that bother me, it's the 1/4 inch void it left between the protector and the tank.
I wonder if you could trim CF with sharp scisors... :D

Trim it with a dremel cutting wheel or other similiar tool.
Maybe if you sent them your tank they could custom fit one for you! :D

yikes, it cost me 24 or something dollars to mail a 1 pound package there, I can't imagine a whole tank.

time for an update! :)
so I sent the other pad back, they say it fits perfectly, and sent me a new one, which took a couple weeks to make one I guess, anyway the new one arrived and fits just as shitty as the original

<img src="http://www.onlinemac.com/users/philip/pad3.jpg"/>
<img src="http://www.onlinemac.com/users/philip/pad4.jpg"/>
you can see it never really lines up quite right, and there's still about a 1/4" void right down the middle that just won't work out, kind of annoying.
makes me wonder if they didn't fit it to a mille tank, since the tanks arch up a little higher and might fit it.

oh also, could someone post a photo of a 2k1 or older falco tank, from low and to the back like my views here? maybe one from the side? I'm wondering if they didn't change the contour of the tank a little for 2k2...

Aviator, I have the same pad and it works pretty darn well on my '01Silver Falco. My guess is they designed it for the '00 and '01 bikes with the solid color tanks. The graphics on the '02s definitely don't look too compatible with it.
You may be right about a subtle re-contouring of the '02 tank, as mine fits with only the tiniest gap in one spot on the upper shoulder of the rear of the tank - you have to press on it quite a bit to see it - not enough to bother me. My biggest complaint about the ergos on Falcos is that the tank is a bit tall and long for my short arms - an inch and a half shorter front to back, and we'd be talking about the world's most perfect motorcycle! Maybe Aprilia tried to help alleviate that by re-shaping the tank. If so, you are definitely entitled to a refund IMHO. Good luck.

they must have, because there's at least 1/4" of gap all the way down the middle.
I'm sure they'll refund my $$ but it costs 25 bucks to mail this damn thing to .au not sure it's worth it for a $50 refund

I have just fitted one of these to my 00 Falco and it fits perfectly. They did go to great pains to check the model of my bike beforehand though...so you obviously taught them something.:D

we did find out for sure that the 2k2 gas tanks have been re-countoured, they're going to send me one if/when they get their hands on a 2002 and make a mold. Now I feel bad for all the mean things I said :)

I think it'll be a long time coming, to get that version of the tank protector, as we haven't seen your model in Australia yet, and we are almost into 03. They are still selling the yellow and silver ones, at this stage. Just for your info by the way.
Take care from down under.

that sucks. I wonder how complicated it is to make the mold, I could make one and send it to them off my tank :)
