Thanks

You lucky bugger !
Well done mate getting the plate in the right spot.
I have a question, for us poor sods still waiting could you enlighten us all as to what the contents of the carton it came in are ?
Such as pillion seat and pegs perhaps, anything else ?
Cheers mate

Rich22
05-29-2009, 11:23 AM
The expression on my sons face is just great i just noticed it:bump:

In box is pillion seat and pegs and covers for rear peg holes and manuals.

The tool kit consists of 1 allen key:happy:

It feels a little smaller and taller than the Blade but good for me 5'10" it's not silly small it's about cbr 600 size.

Dealer is Inmoto Croydon

God it sounds awesome.

Suffering from major jealousy over here...honestly. I think I am going to put up for sale ALL of my other bikes and maybe a car too, I think I might actually be looking at the first "new" bike I have ever really wanted since the 1998 R1.

The dealer here tried to tell me it didn't come with the seat and pegs. So now I have some ammo next time we are speaking. This forum is awesome !

Cheers and yes mate the triangles are with it.

Did your dealer include the crash bungs with the bike or do they come as standard? Just trying to work out what to expect to get? I see you havn't got the bungs fitted on the bike, looked at the accesories pic and they don't seem to stick out from the fairing very much at all, almost looks like frame protection and not fairing protection, wonder what the R and G ones are like?

I can't say for sure about the Aprilia but normally the valves are the last thing you hear when you turn the key after the fuel pump. It closes the valve, disconnect it & they remain in the open position, that is the ones I've seen do this on the Jappers.

Honestly, I'm not.

Awesome, first time I've heard a "proper" one in a vid clip instead of the test/official vids available. Congrats on the ride. What with this stunning weather we have been having I'm guessing its now got slightly more than 50 odd miles on the clock?.

Rich22 and all that are 'on the list' for the first RSV4's... you guys have got me all worked up. I'm in my office trying to work, and instead I've got my amortization book out, figuring payment amounts on one.

Crap, this is such a cool bike... could I trade in my GT1000? Naw, I love the thing. How about the RSVR? Nope, it's so nicely put together and so much fun it'd have to stay.

A THIRD bike in the garage? Not unless I make more room... I'm seriously thinking about selling my '69 Dodge Super Bee. Yeah, that's it!

I am going to have one. Might be next year, or the next, but this is looking a lot like my next bike. Hee, hee, hee...

http://www.fourwheelperformance.com/phorum/icon_hail.gif Alright! They are loose on the streets now... only a matter of time until we see em in the US.

You should go back to the dealer with a bandage on your forehead and ask your salesman how much new fairings cost just to mess with those guys! HAH they would freak if you told them that you laid it over already.

Looking good!

Bit too close for the track day booked for next Wednesday but we will have to see how things work out.
Fairings and accessories have not arrived yet as well as the Akro system but we should defo be set for Donington on the 17th!

Mate that rear end shot of that muffler looks big , need to get rid of that Wopping big muffler looks like at type of rocket launcher.

Thats the only thing that spoils it , why couldn't they go under seat ? the Honda CBR1000 looks smaller were did Aprilia go wrong in that design of muffler.

The bikes come with the pillion pegs already fitted. You can take them off, and replace them with the little blanking plates( supplied with the allen screws) which are in the bag with the manuals.
The first bikes were supplied with a few of the extras missing, the pillion seats and the supersport front wheels sensor kit. These are being supplied separately as soon as possible.

I reckon you're right, just read the latest "BIKE" wih the journo riding with the company development rider through northern Italy. Sounds like some of the riding we got up to back in oz on my Mille. He loved the bike and picked it for the one thing that the others didnt have, a "soul".
Aprilia seem to know how to put in the bike just right.

I love the RC8 to ride, BUT, I still want an RCV4 !!

I have listed the RC8 on ebay to see if it gets any bites, the amount of parts on it should sell the bike.

I tried to get hold of someone who had their demo for sale but he has not replied. He visits the UK Aprilia forum ( c and a ) but I am not a member there so cannot get in touch. I will be ringing his dealership tomorrow.

RC8R looks a great bike, I am sure you will enjoy it.
