View Full Version : DB2 at a Concours
Yesterday my bimota DB2 took first in class at the Concours d' Elegance in St. Aguestine Fl.. There were about 400 bikes there, was told the turnout was a little smaller than other years. It was a great day checking out all the different bikes and there were a lot of rare and well done ones there. Needless to say the DB2 did all the work, and I did wear my Aprilia hat.

Congratulations! What class did it qualify for and what other bikes were the competition?

Congratulations. I placed first in class in modern competition ('85-'09) with my '08 XB12R. I thought for sure the Aprilia or 999R Xerox would win, but I guess the judges appreciated the fact that mine was unwashed from a track day on Monday. The balled-up rubber, brake dust, and bug splatters definitely gave it character. Gotta' love the underdog!
It was great meeting Craig Vetter and Dennis Gage- both really nice guys. I'm looking forward to the episode of "Trippin' on Two Wheels" they filmed while attending this event. It was a beautiful day for a bike show, and a proud moment as a Buell owner.

I think it was called Modern Euro. There were some Guzzi's, BMW's, Aprilia's, and Duc's. I would guess it was a Ducati 888spo wich was a very nice bike with Mag's and the right amount of carbon.
The bike I thought was coolest was the Abington King Dick, thinking it was a 1915 or 17 model.

Shoot, any bike with the balls to be called King Dick is a winner in my book.

Here is a picture of the King Dick.
