who has had to replace a bar end? how do you take the damn thing off without having to go through a total disassembly?

The easiest way to take them off is to get a wet rag and place it round the outside of the bar end weight, and place a multigrip plyer over the rag, and hold really tightly. Then get an allen key and undo the bolt through the inside.

so...i bought a strap wrench and have tried using it with a power drill...it won't budge. what gives?:mad: :mad: :rolleyes: :mad: :mad:

Some extra leverage on both the allen key (eg a ring spanner over the end) and also the strap wrench will get it to budge. Mine were way tight as well. Just have another go. You'll get them eventually.
