Vespa / Piaggio Part Number Lookup Step-By-Step Demonstration:
First: we must identify our scooter correctly
To identify your scooter, locate the Vehicle Identification Plate (Vin Plate):
*Note on models built prior to 2006 the Vin Plate will be covered by the front shield.
On Pre-2006 models it will be easier to find the VIN number by removing the seat pan (see photos in post #7).

Next we will need to determine the year.
The year is the 10th digit of the VIN Number:
(This model is shows "9" as the 10th digit. It is therefore a 2009.)

Important Note:
In the vast majority of situations, Vespa / Piaggio does not sell parts "kits." Vespa / Piaggio parts are typically sold each. In very rare situations some Vespa / Piaggio parts are sold "complete" meaning that all necessary parts for installation are included. This applies primarily to Accessory parts.
In general, assume that All Vespa and Piaggio parts are sold each, unless the product description specifically says "complete."
