I'm am so depressed.
Last night April 10 2009, Friday night between 6:00pm and 7:30 am on the 11th of April someone found my private stash of Aprilia's and Stole them.
The theft was in Conyers , Georgia 30013. Aprox 30 miles East of Downtown Atlanta, GA.
Any help in finding the Culprit would be appreciated. They are insured , but I want to find my bikes and the Dude who took them
They were locked up in a storage bldg , and the door was smashed in with the rear of a truck bumper , I have the remnants ot the trucks broken tail light. They had to cave the Wall in by 12" or more to open the Door. The guy left behind some DNA (Hair Sample) and I hope to test that against a suspect I have.
Please keep a eye out for these Unique bikes - This is the only (1) 2003 Aprilia Tuono Racing in the state of Georgia
Please call me @ 843 359 9794 if you see them , or if you just even see one of them. I Really, Really want my bikes back.

I'm in the Atlanta area. I'll print out your pics and keep an eye open. I'll also distribute them to local dealers.
Sounds like you were watched and pin pointed but sooner or later, they'll show up somehwere. Bikes like these don't get parted out.
If you have truck remnants, put out feelers to bodyshops about a truck with xyz colour coming in for bodywork...
I'm sure someone knows about it..

Thank's , I'm going to Atlanta Motor World , and Scooter SuperStore in Peachtree City and give them my serial# and Photo's so if they show up at a dealership looking for new Ignition parts that might be a tip off.

Thanks everybody for the good wishes in finding my bikes.
I would give about anything to find my bikes - I have a strong suspision the bikes are hid somewhere within a 6 mile radius of where they were stolen - If I only had a hidden GPS unit , like the Clifford System - I would be able to pin point the exact location of the bikes.
They just busted a Motorcycle " Chop Shop" here in McDonough Georgia , but my bikes are not there.
The Chop Shop had about 25 bikes , being dismantled and parts being sold on e-bay. I believe all bikes there were of the GSXR . R6 , CBR , ZX , Japanise variety.
The Chop Shop was found as one of the bikes had LoJack and a passing patrol got a hit on the LoJack as he drove by.

Well I got some FANTASTIC news today . My Tuono Racing was found.
I was actually found last thur April 23 by the Rockdale Co Shefiffs dept , it took 6 days for the City of Conyers to be notified.
It was found in Milstead off a road near the Yellow River. It was stashed in the woods but with the ass end sticking out a bit and a passer by noticed it.
It was been Repainted flat black over my nice Carbon Fiber - but all in all I'm surprised it's actually in Descent shape . The Thief actually put 238 miles on it and took it to 106 mph and averaged 53mph over the 238 miles.
I think I can get her back into pristine shape for less than $ 1,300.00
I can believe the guy had the balls to be riding a stolen bike in the same county he stole it from - he had even scotched taped a liscense tag to it and rode it around - hopefully he will ride my scooter and SXV too and I'll see the Ass hat = so I can BEAT HIS Redneck ASS a Bit

Keep looking for a Factory , they are well Worth it. I think it sets a bit higher in the Rear VS the non Factory.
Just give me a holler and you can hav a sit or a ride.
Give me a couple of weeks to get her cleaned up a bit , right now I need to rebuild the right Accilign Footpeg before I can ride it.
I ordered a Used Complete Lockset today , to get the Ignition and Fuel cap back up to snuff.
Freakin Awesome, dude!
So now i can come sit on it to decide if i want to keep looking for a factory :D

can you get the paint off it ??? what did they actually paint??? glad you got it back!!!
Super Dave

Here'a a few pictures of the Paint over Carbon job , the guy did to conceal the identity of the bike . He actually went to the time to pinstripe it as well so it looked better.
Who knows , maybe I can find some paint solvent / cleaner that can take off the paint and then I'll just have to re-clear coat it.

too bad they couldn't snatch a fingerprint off of it. That looks like shit, hope you get the paint off. Surely we have some painters on this forum that could give you some advice.

what a bunch of douchbags, thats a sin to do that to a beautiful tuono factory!!! damn them to hell!!! take them to your local custom painter and have them buff the paint off and buff the clearcoat, did they damage the bike at all ??? looks like they tried to remove the decal on the bottom carbon fairing. just get a new decal ??? like you said you can get it back to A1 condition like you had it!!!keep us posted on your progress, i want to see that looking beautiful again !!!

auto body shops use thinners, this will remove the matt black paint with ease. if you use thinners on a rag and rub it into the paint, and then wash it off with clean water, it should remove it all pretty quickly.
no doubt it will remove the clear coat that is put over the carbon fibre, but that can be re lacquerd easly by any body shop.
and surely there will be finger prints over the bike, as he has obviously taken some time to cover it up.
glad you got it back tho mate.

Sorry , as I've been working in South Korea for 6 weeks.
Just got back in town , and will check with my detective tomorrow.
I reallt don't expect any news , and I'm getting a bit tired of waiting for SXV and the Sr 50 scooter to show up.
I may be considering setteling with my insurance company on those 2 losses.

Well glad you got your bike back dave but if you encounter someone on your other missing rides keep in mind that the guy that stole it probably sold it and the guy you encounter might as well be a victim of this scum bag also before you bash his brains in.

Well I got a call from the Tifton Sherriffs dept ( Tifton Georgia) and they found both my SXV 550 and My Sr 50 scooter. Deputies caught 2 suspects riding on both of my bikes. Aparently they showed up in Tifton about a month ago - where they have been for the last 10 months I have no idea ?
I have a great detective in Tifton working my case and we (he) are trying to track it back to the guy who originally stole a 3 of mine on the same night
I would like to thank everyone who Pm'd me about possible leads on these 2 bikes throughout the entire US.

In the "Before" pictures, those machines were simply stunning. I think you were robbed out of pure jealousy. Good thing I live in Illinois or I'd be a suspect...
