we just got this email....this is the whole email

too funny.....what is teh world coming to??

"I have a 2003 with a slip on yoshimura an a K&N filter. WHat would a powercommander do for me? WOuld it help my bike get faster in order for me to do wheelies more easily an ride them longer? WOuld it hurt my bike if not do yall sell them? All I want to do is make my bike go faster an that way i can do wheelies longer an alot more easily what do i do?"

like maybe tell us what kind of bike you have???

Ed / AF1 Racing

he replied

"Its a 2003 yzf R6. So what do i need to do inorder to make it wheelie alot more easier an how much would it cost?
I heard of a powercommader but what would that do to the bike?"

back and forth we go....

more comedy....I told him to go -1 on the front sprocket.

"Hey man can you explain to me what you mean by "drop one tooth on the front sprocket" an what it does for me an how do i do it or do i take it 2 Af1 for yall to do it?"

"So your telling me that if i do this my top speed would be slower but my acceration would be quicker? So i could do a standup wheelie more easier an longer with this? If i have 6 gears i would only have 5 gear? Aout howmuch top speed would it take away. Oh yeah by doing this would i have to do anything else to my bike so my bike won't brake down or anything in the long run?

Look at the bright side, my generation (Generation Squid) keeps all the bike manufacturers in buisness by constantly buying krap to keep fixing their bikes.

But at least give him credit for calling a professional shop. He COULD do worse by listening to his buddies and farkin up his bike. :D

Tell him to buy a bigger bike!:bitchslap mfb is right, At least he called a proffesional shop. I worked at dealership for 2 years and we had boys come in wanting Hayabusas with NOS and Turbos and all the fast stuff and never road a bike in there life. I would usually guide them to the Kan O Tuna or the SV's.:D

he's lucky that we are honest guys around here...........the jokes around here have been going all day.......

1) "rip a fat 3 gear standup for him, and then hand the keys over........"dude, we fixed it, it was a clogged throttle body bearing......$150.......riding lesson.....free"

2) buying just a slip-on is where u messed up....you need a full system to do wheelies.......

3) tires.....got to have special wheelie tires.....

4) have you connected the "wheelie wire" yet??

5) call your dealer and tell them you have one of the slow ones that are being recalled.....

come on, the bike rips nice wheelies in bone-stock form

o man......the list goes on........

Ahhh yes, I remember when I used to run shops I would get the person who call or stop by and ask for power bands. Sometimes tell me how they had two or three powerbands now and what a differance they would make.
I got a box now full of powerbands. Wanna buy some???? Shipping and handling is extra!!!!!!!!!!! Send money.

reminds me of a guy at the short circuit track when i was young. he was a prick and dog slow allways complained about not having enough power, the problem was he just couldnt ride. i said id give him enough power to spin the rear all the time..... so i took his bike around back of the circuit and pumped about 60psi in his rear tire lol. he came back from a few laps and had this stupid grin on his face and sayn 'wow i cant belive how much it spins now', still lost and i told him later what i did. never did come back to the track after that.

sdave2002 - Are you picking on the "little" SV? I love mine.

I know the boys are tired of me asking all the dumb questions tho.

No, not at all! Just dont think a NOS / Turbo Hayabusa is the right bike for a teenager that just came back from the movies thinking he can be some dam biker boy and never even road a bike before.

This is too damn funny.
I would have told him that his front end is too heavy. He needs to drop some weight to get that tire up easier and take off all the front brake calipers and rotors etc.

Just tell him real riders only use rear brakes anyways:D

**Ask him, Don't you watch MotoGP and Superbike with them getting the rear sideways all the time..we know what we are talking about here.

"Hey is it possible to do a standup wheelie on a 2003 yamaha R6 through 6 gears?"

I have run out of answers for this guy......I do not even know how to answer this....

Just tell him that the flux capacitor on the 2003 R6s will only allow standup willies through 4th gear but will allow sit down willies through 6th.

only if you are a "real" rider :)
see if you can get him to send you a pic of him and his "ride"
this could be as fun as the nigerian scam emails.

I kinda smell a troll though, Are they resulting to sending emails instead of just haunting bbs.

A short and real one..

It is possible with a Turbo intercooler convertion. (Having Ghostrider s G2 Busa in mind.)
Though the R6 is Smaller but it shoud be possible to do the same.

Truth is always better than fiction. I loved that raising the tire pressure trick. Darn that was good.
Come on guys, if they have money, sell NOS with Mr Turbos please please please. Do it at cost. I realy don't want them to breed.

This post reminds me of gixxer.com's squid farm. Its filled with posts about how to mount JATOS and fix muffler bearings and my favorite "changing the digital clock for daylight savings." That kid was told to put the bike up on the rearstand and spin the wheel for an hour. To switch it back from DST, he has to put the bike in reverse.

Newbies always come in and ask how to make their bikes wheelie better and we give them "advice" like: Spray NOS in the gas tank! IT adds like 25 HP at the spark plugs!

I have a post there about switching my priller's wheel's with gixxer 1k wheels because Aprilia's can't keep up with our slow spinning wheels.

Fun stuff

I'm sure if he upgraded to dilithium crystals he'd get the front wheel up for longer.

I'm sorry I couldn't resist it!

tell him by going down one tooth on the front sprocket, you are going to grind off a tooth :D
