Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, hoh, hum another shitty day in paradise!

I was actually asked the other day, if money wan't a problem, where would you live?

Without a doubt Australia. We have everything. Great weather to poisonous snakes and spiders. The tropics to the snow, and everything in between.

That's not to say I don't like visiting other places. My cousins live in the US, and my sister is still a US citizen (born there).

It's just Australia has so much more and we are a friendly bunch. (If anyone wants to take up the offer, we have a great caravan in the front of the house (no charge), which anyone is more than welcome to use).

You can both come! Just tell her the accomodation is free, whilst in Sydney (which is a big part of any trip)! PS: the beer is free also, as I'm a keen homebrewer!

I can hear the nasal voices crying "you can't love an inanimate object."

True, I suppose.

But my Mille's ALIVE, I tell ya...

Hmm, PM me a phone number, I'll be movin in about Wed of next week.

Love the offer of free beer, but much more interested in knowing there will be a Priller there for me to ride as well. At least until I get my own shipped over.

Now the really funny part is where you think I might be kidding.

If I could work out getting a job that'll afford me living space with a garage, scratch for riding my Priller, and the means to get body and soul there, I'd have my house on the market by the weekend.

I just love listening to a shela prattle on about -who cares what- and the blokes really are tops. (sigh) Bastard!

I rode to work in 27deg f weather, past two multi car wrecks on ice, had one car go sideways next to me and get plowed by the car from behind, and I had my Mille step out three times, all while trying to keep freezing fog off the visor, and you had to tempt me with visions of ridin in the sun down under.

Your a right bastard, and I love ya for it!

We've got better roads and if you get off the main routes there's bugger all traffic, our beers colder and the only spider that's a worry is an Aussie imigrant. And also our filth don't carry sidearms like some states across the ditch. But hey that's not saying I don't want to crate the beast up and do some roads in Oz in the near future !! But not before another trip to the south island mid March to attend the John Britten Memorial meeting, apparently most of the Brittens are coming home to race. I may even take some photo's and post them for you guys !

Been on mine over a year now and I'm still comming to grips with how fast this thing is.

Still blows me away every time I ride. This winter's a rough one though - only get to stare at it in the garage (and that ain't half bad

I've posted this before and its still holds true today. My last bike before a Mille was an R1. I loved that bike and had probably a hundred hours into it. I had every suspension / chassis goody you could think of an it handled awesome...so I thought. Due to some operator error at Grattan one week before I relocated to AZ, the bike and me cart-wheeled at 100mph. Needless to say, the bike didn't relocate.

I had my eye on a buddy's 916 but he ended up keeping it. So when I got out here a co-worker from a different office was visiting and he mentioned that he just bought an Aprilia and that they were in fact pretty damn affordable. So I started looking. I was very curious about all the hype over twins and figured wtf - if I hate it i'll chalk it up to a learning experience and get another R1.

Well, I bought a Rossi Replica '99 which was stock except for an RSC slip-on & chip. On my first ride <first real ride through twisties on a twin> I found that it was easier to ride faster than any inline liter bike I had owned in the past. Second, it was the engine braking and the narrow cockpit that made a huge difference. I was down probably around 30 hp but it didn't matter. I was riding faster with more confidence since I did not have to be so careful with whacking the throttle coming out of a turn. Some six months later I decided to upgrade to the 00.5 RSVR instead of changing the parts on the standard model.

That's the bike I currently ride. And while I have had a few 'moments', its simply the easiest bike to ride fast that I have ever experienced (probably 25 motorcycles previously owned). I hope to have this bike for quite some time.

Yeah...I love my Mille!
